Jodi Allen Corbett

Jodi Allen Corbett is a Canadian-born small-town girl with a passion for education and creativity. Raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she later moved to quieter places in her early twenties. From a young age, she dreamed of becoming a teacher—helping and inspiring children to learn, thrive, and grow. She also quietly aspired to create the books that fascinated her as a child.
Jodi holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan, along with a Piano Performer degree from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She plays piano and flute, sings alto, and directs children's choirs. A lifelong learner, she enjoys exploring new ways to create and sharing her musical talents.

She began her teaching career on the Pelican Lake Cree First Nation, where she was deeply moved by the generosity and rich culture shared with her by the Indigenous community. She spent four years on the reserve before moving to Northeast Saskatchewan, where she taught primarily Grade 1 and 2. More recently, she developed a passion for Pre-Kindergarten and Early Learning through play working with 3 and 4 year old students and their families.

Known as "Mrs. AC" to her students, Jodi is a devoted wife and mother to one daughter, two step-sons, and a lively mix of furry companions. In her spare time, she patiently awaits the Toronto Maple Leafs' long-awaited Stanley Cup victory!
